Victoria ISD launches Let's Talk on campus websites

In August 2021, Victoria ISD launched a new Let’s Talk chatbox feature on its website. The chatbox allows stakeholders an easy way to submit questions, comments, and other feedback to the district and receive a timely response. Since August, the district has received and responded to over 425 Let’s Talk messages.


Campus websites will now also have their own, individualized Let’s Talk chatbox.

Science Mill presents foundation with plaque for donations to VISD for STEM summer camps

Last week, Science Mill presented Gerardo Castillo and the Ashbritt Foundation with a plaque, thanking them for donating more than $150,000 to provide Victoria ISD with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) summer camps since 2019.

Over the next few weeks, Victoria ISD will host Parent Information Nights for parents and guardians of current VISD fifth and eighth-graders.


For parents and guardians of students entering middle school in the 2022-23 school year, these nights will provide a general overview of course offerings and extracurricular activities such as fine arts and athletics available to students.

The City of Victoria will the 2022 TAAF Winter Games of Texas, this January 15-17. Several VISD venues will be used, including the Aquatics Center, Victoria East and West High School gyms, and the West High School tennis courts.
